Born in Clarksville, Tennessee, in 1979, I spent my childhood in the Upstate region of South Carolina in a little place called Campobello in the foothills of northwestern Spartanburg County. I grew up as the younger of two children (one older brother) with a loving mom and dad. I am the proud mother of two feline children, Rudy and Callie. (Human children are still somewhere in the distant future.)

My educational background is in psychology and library science. I have been working full time as a community college librarian in North Carolina since 2003. I also freelance as a Web designer. In my free time, I enjoy working out at the gym, running, knitting, and reading.
